Next Big Adventure: Paris, Morocco, Portugal

Lacey and I are always thinking about the next trip (or the trip after the next trip, tbh). We finally solidified our next big adventure and it will be to Europe and North Africa!

We absolutely loved Thailand and Cambodia (a trip back to that region is on the future list) but we wanted to go somewhere different to keep that area feeling special. Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing.

There were a million different ideas we ran through using Google Flights before deciding and I won't be boring and list them all out.

We settled on Paris as our big city stop because we thought that was about as different from Cambodia/Thailand as we could go. Lacey has never been there and I absolutely love it there. It's on the list of "top 10 cities to visit" if you ask me. The food is awesome (helloooooo pastries). Mont St. Michel is a huge monastery on an island off the coast of France so we plan to go there as well. So yeah, lots of reasons.

After 3 days in Paris, we're flying to Fes, Morocco. We chose Morocco because the flights were pretty cheap, it's an exotic location, and then we can say we've been to Africa lol. We will be in Fes for 4 days and haven't totally locked in what we are doing and going but whatever we do will be super fun!

Lastly, we're flying from Morocco to Portugal. Portugal is a beautiful country right on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. We plan to rent a car or motor scooter and drive up the coast. The sunsets are gorgeous too! We'll spend a few days in Lisbon and then a day in Porto before flying back to Paris and then fly back to the US.

So that's the plan! Big city, then exotic locale, and then ocean views. Sounds pretty much perfect to us. We'll leave the US on September 26 and then get back on October 9.

Here's a handy map of places we are going (see blue markers that a little hard to see)!
